DIY (Do-It-Yourself)

Shutters
Robust Nature of Plantation Shutters: Our company acknowledges that Plantation Shutters are known for their sturdy construction, which sets them apart from other window covering types. However, it is important to note that this robustness also contributes to their substantial weight. When using Hinged or Bi-fold installation methods, it is typical for slight dropping or sagging to occur when the panels are operated out of their closed position due to the influence of gravity.
Swinging Shutter Panels: The louvres of our shutters are designed to offer control over the amount of light entering a room. If access to the window is necessary for opening or cleaning, the shutter panels can be swung out of the way. However, users should be aware that after swinging the panels, they might need to be lifted or assisted back into the window frame during the closing process to provide adequate support and prevent damage to the window frame. It is recommended to promptly return the shutter panels to their closed position to maintain their structural integrity.
Limitations on Blockout: Our shutters are not intended to provide complete blockout. Instead, they are primarily designed to offer users easy and efficient control over light and airflow.
By agreeing to our company's terms and conditions, customers acknowledge the specific characteristics of Plantation Shutters and understand the need for proper usage and handling to ensure their functionality and longevity.
